Q & A: Networking
Today’s Q&A post takes us to networking – that all important business tool.
Question:
Q. What prompted you to attend the first WedSmith?
Answers:
Matt Serrao replied:
“Simply put, we wanted to establish connections within our industry. MOOD was just a baby (and still is) and we wanted to give it the best chance for success in 2010 – 2011. We went with the intention of not only learning from industry professionals, but also getting to know them. And… It was a success! We’ve made so many great friends in the industry, and we love them all. I can’t imagine being in this industry by ourselves.”
Erin Kate Gouveia replied:
“I also knew that WedSmith would be a great opportunity for me to meet other local wedding vendors and learn from inspirational speakers.”
Mara Marian-Harwood replied:
“WedSmith was introduced to me by a colleague whom I respected very much, I knew that if they were involved it was absolutely going to be worth attending. Continued education and further versing myself in all aspects of the industry and my craft are among my top priorities to ensure I am always at the top of my game.”

“I absolutely LOVE Hilary & so it was a no brainer to attend anything she & her hubby put together! You know it’ll be a success & lots of super great info to soak into your hyperactive lil brains!!!!!”

“I met Hilary shortly before the first WedSmith, and she told me about the event. I knew of several of the speakers, and it sounded like it would be a great event. It didn’t disappoint!”
I am very new to the wedding industry. I have made some good networking contacts thus far. As reason #1 from “Top ten Reasons to Attend WedSmith”, it would take quite some time to network with this many Wedding industry professionals. I am very much looking forward to this.
